Eligibility Criteria
1. Educational Qualification:
- For SSC/Matric/Std X Candidates:
- Must have scored at least 50% aggregate marks in SSC/Matric/Std X.
- Valid SSC/Matriculation and ITI certificates are required.
- Certificates lacking marks, grades, or grade points will not be accepted.
- For ITI Candidates:
- A minimum of 65% aggregate marks in the relevant ITI trade (National Council for Vocational Training or State Council for Vocational Training).
- Candidates must have completed their ITI in the specified trades as listed in the advertisement.
2. Age Criteria:
- There is no upper age limit for apprenticeship training, as per the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) office memorandum No. F.No. MSDE-14(03)/2021 AP-(PMU) dated 20 Dec 2021.
- Minimum Age: Candidates must be at least 14 years old, with a minimum age of 18 years for hazardous occupations.
- Eligibility Based on Date of Birth:
- Candidates born on or before 02 May 2011 are eligible to apply for apprenticeship training.
3. Physical Standards: Candidates must meet the minimum physical fitness requirements outlined in Rule 4 of the Apprenticeship Rules, 1992. These standards ensure candidates are physically capable of undergoing apprenticeship training.
4. Previous Training: Candidates who have already completed or are currently undergoing apprenticeship training in the same trade under any organization, as per the Apprenticeship Act 1961 (as amended), are not eligible for this apprenticeship program.
5. Reservation of Vacancies:
- SC, ST, and OBC Reservations:
- Vacancies for SC, ST, and OBC candidates will be reserved as per the provisions of Section 3A and 3B of the Apprentice Act, 1961, and Rule 5 of the Apprenticeship (Amendment) Rules, 2015.
- Applicants in these categories must submit a valid caste certificate:
- The SC/ST certificate must specify the constitutional order under which the caste is recognized.
- The OBC certificate must include the resolution number and date acknowledging the caste/community as OBC.
